  • Winamp and subwoofer (help)

I'm not sure what it's called. That sound that comes out of the subwoofer..?

    My problem is:
My sound system for the pc doesn't have any ways of shutting down the sound from the subwoofer. I have tried to place it in a place so it gives as little sound as possible, though because of my extremely sensible ears I can still hear it and it annoys the hell out of me
Is there a way in winamp to kill that part of the music without it hurting the other parts?
This space is empty... or is it?

You don't want bass you mean?

See if it has a knob on it that you can adjust. Mine does.

Tone down the bass with the Winamp eq.

Alternatively, you can play with the bass-knob on your speakers.

I haven't found anything like that...

Could you be more specific? There's 10 different sliders I can change and have no idea what they do...

The left ones control the volume of the lower frequencies (bass), the middles ones the volume of the middle frequencies and the right ones the volume of the high frequencies.

Here is my "clean" setting. Like this very much.
Have about the same on my guitar amplifier.

take a crowbar to the subwoofer to shut it down.

                Can still hear it

Tomorrow when it gets light I'll try to see if I can find a bass-knob (I don't have a flash light so can't check now)

What's wrong with sounds from the subwoofer (=bass)?

Do they tell you to wash behind them every morning and night?

It's a sound that adds nothing to the music while it's annoying to listen to

I have now tried to do a better search for some bass-knob but didn't find it
