  • how do batteries in parallel work?

I understand how resistors, inductors, and capacitors in parallel work, but we never actually found out how two emfs in parallel add together. Please help, gods of physics

They'll operate at the potential of the smaller battery. The applicable rule is the kirchoff loop rule: the potential drop across a closed loop is 0

So if the two batteries have the same voltage, it'll just be as if you doubled the energy stored in it and nothing else? w00t
