Florida law already allows people to shoot a potential attacker in their home, place of work or car.
what I find scary is how do you define "potential attacker"? '

'Oh no, he looked at me scarily - self defense!!'

Or as South Park so well satirised - "IT'S COMING RIGHT AT US!!"

What percentage of Americans do you suppose take these "fire-arms training camps"?

Che, you might want to leave Florida, like right now ... as in out the door this very minute. See, the rest of the Union has just passed a law outlawing Florida. Bombing begins in 5 minutes.

You Texan 'polytubbies might want to start packing now, too. Your state is next...

Possibly if they have a weapon and are threatening to kill you?

I've never taken a training camp, nor has anyone I known taken a training camp.

Though I only know 2 other people besides myself who own guns (most people do not own guns contrary to what Europeans believe).

I own one, but I also am not a dumbass, and know how to shoot one (I qualified on one in the navy). My friend owns one. He served in the Marines. And my brother owns one. He has no military experience, but he's tested his gun many times with cans out in the desert, and he's very smart.

We have several guns in our home, and my stepdad trained me on them (use, safety) as soon as I was old enough not to be knocked on my butt by recoil.

It's a good law. Why require you to flee when a guy has a gun in his hand is pointing it at you. All that would do is get you shot in the back!

Not all "attackers" have weapons (unless hands count), and they don't always want to kill you.

A lady in the library decided she was afraid of me the other day, because I was standing next to her while I was looking for an encylopedia. She got belligerent and hostile and claimed I looked just like the guy who raped her a few weeks ago. I'm so glad that now she'll be able to shoot me first.

It's your fault for looking like a rapist.

                              pootie tang could do it.

They shouldn't be allowed to kill them
Shooting them in the arm or leg would be enough to get away I would think.
