Where I live:
A couple of the major mining areas are circled, north of which are the badlands. The yellow dot is where I live:
A close up of the superstack:
A pool of "water" next to the stack:
A river of what is likely molten rock:
What looks to be a river leaving the mining area:
A healthy looking lake in the Badlands:
I have no idea what this is, but that golden stream leads directly to the red lake in the previous image.
Some more water on the edge of a large mining area:
Another lake and a field of boulders (or is it a quarry?), beside what seems to be a smaller mining complex:

All of the maps I've posted in this thread are based on satellite photos taken either in 2000 of 2002. The road I take to get to my second job Friday through Monday doesn't exist yet, nor does my workplace...
