They'll just have to use something better, voice recognition, perhaps.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

        I did. That's why I suggested VR.

What happens if some one has a cold or loses their voice (sometimes happens)? Then they can't start their car.

At least that won't cost you a body part.

There's nothing obvious that works if the crook has a gun in your face . . . I'd give up my ATM pin in 2 seconds if a crook with a gun asked.

My antitheft device on my car is the very primitive "CLUB". I figure that when you have a 1998 Honda civic there is only so much bother a crook will undertake . . . After all the parking lot is FULL of other 6-10 year old economy cars

Or you could do what I do and just live in a nice neighborhood where you don't have to worry about car theives.

Or do what I do and live right in the town center so you don't need a car.

THat's silly . . . The car thieves go to the nice neighborhoods to look for the higher end cars

My civic was broken into in daylight in a park 'n ride in the nice end of Calgary. We figure that only the fact that the battery was so near to dead prevented them from being successful in their hot-wire attempts ( The steering column was torn apart so its either that or they were inept car thieves)

unless you live in a gated community and park in a garage, that's pointless.

I live in a city with very high auto theft rates. They even tried to steal my old 1995 dodge ram pickup, my dog warned me though, and I scared them off (just by yelling- if they saw how small I was, they'd probably continues stealing it ). Crooks will steal anything, anywhere that I live.

But most won't bother trying to get into garages. That's why poor people lose more cars than rich people.
