Apparently, he changed it after having been told it meant "fart" in Swedish.

He was initially Giancarlo, a hateful rightwing maniac who displayed some of the most egregious homophobic tendencies.

Then he showed his picture, and everyone realized he was totally gay. He slowly came to that realization himself. I personally loved the period where he would openly flirt with other gay posters (particularly Redjon) but when people would mention him being gay, he would vociferously deny it.

Then he came out and became Fez. He took the name from the character on That 70s Show, I believe. Imagining him saying the things he would say with that guy's voice was just ludicrous beyonf words.

And yes, once the Fez=Swedish Flatulence link was made, he quickly reverted back to Giancarlo. Although I think my favorite nickname for him was unofficial and came from molly bloom, and that's "Pedro Poopypants."

Lo, thus ends the saga of Fez.

I remember the initial Gian. Wow, he really WAS rightwing wasn't he? Then I took a hiatus and saw that Fez became a rightwing person but that wasn't so homophobic. Never saw the fart thread tho..but I wouldn't be surprised.

Last time I saw him, he had colored hair, had a boyfriend, and was still shouting the wisdom of Bush.

all though i want to change my handle too. it should be forbidden...it start to be so confusing...but mrFUN was very active for a while on the OTF...i remember that like the last 12 posts were his one time...and he had that paint drawin thing going i think...but he is doing history/polsci? then i need to talk to him want to do the same thing

And about Fez. It doesn´t really mean fart in swedish. Spelled with a z it just means the felt cap used in Turkey and Egypt. Fes on the other hand, means farted. But since they are pronounced the same it doesn´t matter I suppose
