Actually I lied. It was Baldur's Gate 2 that I bought not NWN.

I wish I was a college sophomore with time to burn on my hands. It was the bomb to get lost in a good game.

          Games are pretty lame now.

I still play Tropico... mainly to torment, repress and execute the citizens.

Well, I make a habit of killing old people. It's easier for soldiers to catch them as they walk a lot slower than regular people. Plus they are a drain on the economy.

Anyway, since the people have various newspapers, radio stations and tv stations all blaring the virtues of their great leader, they are too busy listening to revolt.

I thought it was weird for somebody to play NWN SP obsessively through to the end. The original SP campaign is trash, although the two expansions are very good. I recently bought NWN Platinum Edition (after playing through the original campaign twice and the two expansions once each on pirated copies), and I've mostly been playing Multiplayer. It's really a lot of fun, there are a couple of SE posters who play on the same world I do (Avlis). I know Goob is going to be getting NWN, and Hiram, Cro, oz, and Dralix all have it. We might get a multiplayer run-through of the single-player campaign going (although we haven't talked about it much yet), you should join us.

Amen. I used to work in a computer lab during my college years - basically I just sat there and helped morons with problems they could have solved on their own if they only took 5 minutes to try (for instance, how to bold words) Anyway it was a heaven especially in summer when there are not many people around and those who are there are mostly new people (it's a small university, everybody knows everybody else) so they often leave me alone and vice versa. Got a lot of mudding time in that way

I loved the old NES games- SMB3, best GAME EVER, Iron Tank, and the DRagon Warrior Series. Man, i remember using up hours on that game- I still remember the tunes...

Oblivion, the Morrowind sequel, will be smaller and more action-y.

Also, only bows are now available as missile weapons.

So, as inane as morrowinds missile combat was, say goodbye to those chitin shuriken, Nordic throwing axes, javelins, throwing daggers, crossbows, etc.

By the way, I have the same problem, Oerdin. Personally I blame the fact that I actually have responsibilities which nags at me while I'm playing games ruining the fun.

Even if they completely dumb Oblivion's gameplay down to a level understandable by console gamers, it's still going to rock. They say they're making the missile combat awesome instead of varied, which sounds good (if they pull it off). Although I'll miss flying up to the tops of towers and tossing knives at my enemies like a ninja.

I never used any missile weapons in Morrowind (except when I first started). I suck at aiming. One reason I'm not that good at shooter games. Despite this shortfalling of the game, I still liked it (eventually)

You didn't have to aim in Morrowind; whether or not you hit was random. But you'll have to aim in Oblivion.
