The word Unicorn originally meant some sort of ox or something.

Define proof? How do you judge who something has to be proven to?

There is a standard of proof that has to be met, and also standards on who has to meet it.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

A proof is a series of steps following certain rules to show what you want to prove is indeed true. As che said, there are widely accepted methods of doing so.

The people you want to show the proof to are the other side, or failing that, at least the audience.

You know, last night I came home from a week's vacation, turned on the tv, and the first thing I saw was a program about Bible codes. Really.

Then today I open up 'Poly for the first time in a week, and one of the first threads I see is one about Bible codes.

And it's Easter Sunday (at least here in Manila).

Coincidence? Or proof that God exists? Or, proof that God not only exists but also has an unhealthy preoccupation with my media consumption?

          Doubters, prove its not so!

uh, was this a cable channel or something also seen in the United States? Maybe more than one person watched something similar because it's about that time of year or was otherwise influenced by the time of year? Then again, all is part of one grand plan...
