yeah, it's so sad that people say they are all for free-markets, but then when American companies start sucking and it's their own fault, people are all like, "ZOMFG government bailout...!!"

The problem of intellectual property theft in China extends into the auto world. Chevrolet claims that the Chery QQ is a copy of it's Spark. (I have to wonder about that name - Chery - just one similar-looking letter off from "Chevy" ...).

Here in China, the line gets real blurry. Factories manufacturing designer goods often produce "extras" which the factory sells to local distributors. This means that sometimes you can't tell the difference between a "real" designer good and a "fake" because ... there is no difference - except the price.
