What is the most powerful (real) weapon you have ever fired?
81 mm mortar - minimum charge on them, they didn't go for.
I did like the bang though.

A Browning M2 .50 Cal Machine Gun, a M203 granade launcher, test fired a few training LAWs but never had to use the real thing, and I've thrown a few hand granades in my time as well. In Iraq it was kind of scary how much weapons and explosives we have just laying around in our house, M9 pistols, M-16 rifles, M240B machine guns, M2 .50 cal Machinegun, M203 Granade Launchers, frag granades, smoke granades, claymore mines, plastique, detinators, incindary granades, crates & crates of various ammo, and illegal AK-47/9mm pistols/.45 cal pistols which we confiscated from various Iraqis.

what was the condition of the Iraqi weapons that were confiscated? did they keep their weapons clean? or were they in poor condition?

I was goping to say the Browning .50 Machine Gun, but I was thinking of the biggest. The Browning I think does it as a gun (the AT-4 is an anti-tank weapon). My favorite however, is the SAW.
Most were crap. I did find a nice Tarik 9mm pistol which I kept for a while before giving it away to some one else. I also had a Lybian made AK-47 that was a POS so I ended up tossing that into the Tigris. Some of the AK-47s were like new and were owned by people who obviously knew how to care for weapons though they were a minority.

The thing was worthless and didn't even have the correct firing pin. It was a mm or two to long sao likely it would have been a run away firer. The weapon wasn't safe to useand there really wasn't a more suitable place to get rid of it so consigning it to a muddy waste seemed like a good option.
Polluting in a country not your own, populated by people who are scared ****less of of you
And FYI, I am for!! continued American presence in Iraq. But I'm not for pollution.

That was my instinctive reaction... however, I'd rather dump a weapon in a river than see it (potentially) used by guerillas.

An AK-47 (I believe called Type 56?) Chinese copy.. what a piece of **** and it jammed twice. I also fired an M-16A2...
I haven't fired a machine gun before.. or a RPG launcher..

Crap... its been awhile... I know it wasn't the 60. If the m249 is the standard in the Army now, that be it. The 60 was ok, but jammed to much...
Yeah, the M60 did jam quite a bit if you didn't keep it greased like a hog. The M249 uses a 5.56mm round instead of the M60's 7.62 round but it does have a higher rate of fire whle the M240B is the direct replacement for the M60. In typical military style the M240B was supposed to be a lighter weight and more reliable version of the M60 however it ended up being heavier if slightly more reliable.
