Well, actually, my arms have the strength of a cantaloupe. And having a bit too much to lift from the ground in the first place adds to the effect.

Hey, if space says he can do 80-90, who am I to disagree?

I did more than that back when I was a whippersnapper but I only bothered to count about once a week or so. Most days I just did 'em until the muscles burned.

I dont think I would have believed that for some reason.

Oh, do girly pushups to build strength.

So what's a proper pushup and a wrong one?

It would be easiest to demonstraight but Im not flying to see you.

        1) Lie chest down with your hands at shoulder level, palms flat on the floor and a little more than shoulder width apart, feet together.

        2) Have your chin touching the floor.

        3) Straighten your arms as you push your body up off the floor. Keep the back straight.

        4) Breath out as the arms begin to get straight.

        5) Then lower the body to the floor. Bending the arms and keeping the body straight.

        6) Lower the body till your chest touch the floor.

        7) Pause and start again to do a second, third and so on.

Looking forward and squeezing you buttocks helps keep your back straight and makes you more stable which makes the workout more benificial. Its also best if you just try to get within an inch of the floor, trying to go all the way down can lead to bouncing on your rib cage when you start getting tired.

Hmm, how should I break this to you... the Norwegians and Swedes are the viking guys. We were the ones who sold them fur and got raided once in a while. So my feebleness fits the general way of things perfectly

I do do them properly. When I was in wrestling in school our coach would make us redo all of our pushups if just ones person was sloppy about it.
You should do it slowly. Try ~2s when you push, and double that when you come down. Faster than that and you are relying on momentum.

Are you touching the floor with your chest or how far ar you going ?

It's hard to say how many you can do without seeing your form.

Also what is your hand position, wide or narrow?

I don't really know you so I can't say. In my prime I could do 60-65 in two minutes which was enough to get around 85% on the Army PT test in the push up catagory. Now days I'd have trouble doing 35-40 if that.

Yeah, perhaps you should try the 'proper ones' as UR has dubbed them if you get >50 with little effort. They're real killers, but build up muscle faster.

I can't do any. Zilch. Zero. Enjoy your feeling of superiority and adequacy
