    DC++ is the best one out there, and I´ve tested several...

    I use email, it's slow as hell, and I have trouble finding things in English. I have a feeling it's mostly used by Europeans.

    but it gets the job done. (usually)

      P2P-networks are all still inferior to the mighty Usenet.

        Bit Torrent sucks, though it has lots of users (content). dc++ is better because you go directly to downloading or uploading, meaning you can get good transfer speed, I get usually closer to 1 megabyte per second these days. At least 400kb/s anyway.

        As for music, depends what you like, my weapon of choice is SoulSeek. That's pretty much about it. I hate emule.

        But of course, outside p2p-networks, and including them, FTP is the best way to transfer files, your music, video and movie needs.

          I do it all the time. I had no idea that something like this could actually be an issue (and I have a feeling that it isn't at all). My only problem with it is that it's really slow to do. MSN messenger seems to cap transfers at dialup speeds most of the time.

              eMule for bigger and older files
              DC++ for music
              Bittorent for newer (and big) files

              Of course for bittorrent to be very usefull you have to know the best places. The place I'm at (which got most 'votes' back when I didn't know bittorrent (a few months ago)) doesn't accept new users for the time being though

                And if you don't believe it, just download the source-code and check it out for yourself

                    Emule though WinMx isn't bad either.
