I wondered if this thread was about the imminent return of Doctor Who.

Alas not. Then again, I preferred Blakes 7 myself.

    As for these other shows.

    Ex-terminate!!

Yeah . But your avatar's namesake got his ass beat .

Oh, FWIW, Deadwood is my second fav show out now. Though I'm eagerly looking forward to the new series that will coming out this fall, co-produced by HBO and the BBC called "Rome" (working title, I believe).

Hey it's not his fault he hit the ground first.

I think Rome is a go. They've been advertising it enough. Should have some good old fashioned blood and gore. Human misery always makes the best storyline.

I gave up on 24, that's not the greatest show ever.

I'm going to try Deadwood again. It's on at the same time (though I missed the first 30 minutes)

although I'm beginning to question the reasoning of taking tv watching advice from Apolytoners

              ****nut

on second thought, this show sucks just as much as 24.

How can I watch a show that uses a word like ****nut to represent 19th century language?

He just can't stand up to Bullock. Seth is a strong man and has the righteous hand of the law behind him .

Interestingly enough David Milch originally wanted to do a show with a lot of sex and violence based on Rome, but HBO had its Rome show greenlighted with BBC. So they told Milch to get another time period, and Deadwood was thus born.

And did he live in the Old West? All our records seem to indicate they cursed a lot. They didn't use the same words, but they swore up and down

Oh, and women hardly curse in the show... except Calamity Jane.

Penn & Teller wanted to name their show Humbug, but people wouldn't get it.

If you saw him in "The Ref", "The Thomas Crown Affair", and "The Job", then you'd know he can act .

You forgot "The Sandlot" though it's a small part.

I didn't think Leary could handle a lead like he does in Rescue Me.

Well All I can say is that i just happened upon Rescue Me one day and I got hooked. Tuberski got hooked too when he came home from work and I was watching it.
Imran the only one of those movies I have seen is the ref. He acts very well in this drama series so I give him credit. I believe he is the producer of this show too.

He did in "The Job". Now THAT was a Hell of a show. If it was on cable, it'd still be going.
