Too bad they had to split up, it remains to be seen what her future role for the country will be. A lot of people will be saddened should she eventually leave, once the little Princes are older.

I might add that Queen Silvia of Sweden was also a stunning looker back when King Carl Gustav married her (in 1976, if memory serves?). Oh my. I was just a boy, but I remember those days. In some respects Crown Princess Mary and Queen Silvia back then resemble eachother somewhat.

And it's funny to think that the Swedish/German couple met at the 1972 Olympics, while the Danish/Australian couple met at the 2000 Olympics. Let the Games begin takes on a whole different meaning.
