Those are mostly order decorations, but Prince Joachim has had an extensive carreer in the armed forces, and still has, serving as a major in the army reserves. As has Crown Prince Frederik, who actually completed the Danish equivalent of Navy SEAL training, in the Frømandskorpset, and also served for extended periods of time in the Greenland polar military patrol Sirius, both highly elite military units.
