The coastal plain from San Diego to Santa Barbara is classified as desert. That's why L.A. has to import water from Mono Lake, the Colorado River and from the Central Valley. By the way, my hat is off to the city workers.
Several times, mudslides covered in intersection at the bottom of the hill upon which I live. The city was really good about getting it cleaned off quickly.
