The interesting thing that potheads in general tend to be thin. While I know some exceptions, it seems to me that despite giving you the munchies, weed doesn't seem to make you gain weight. Of course the other question is whether Shaggy is high on any other drugs though. It seems that while his paranoia can be the effect of the grass, the constant hallucinations of monsters chasing him indicate he's usually tripping on shrooms or acid.

I've had 50 kebabs in the last 6 months, and I'm still bordering on the underweight side, even though I don't exercise at all at the moment. And I don't have *that* much sex.

I don't think so. My understanding is that heavy weed use generally makes you fat.

Sometime in the next year a new weight reduction medication will be introduced to the US market. The new medication, Accomplia, is not a stimulant like the previous anorectic drugs, but instead works by blocking the cannnabinoid receptor. Yes, that's right, it works by blocking the brain receptors for marijuana. Evidently some of these receptors are a prominent part of the mechanism for regulating appetite. Accomlpia also seems to have a promising role in the treatment of tobacco abuse.

Oh, and it will keep junior away from the evil weed.

If we're talking realism, I don't think any amount of marijuana could make a group of kids stupid enough to continue thinking the ghost in the mansion is real after seeing him revealed as the french butler fifteen frigging times in a row. Yes, it's always a different suspicious foreigner, but still, that many repeated lessons would be enough to teach a pigeon there was nothing to be afraid of.

I can thank Scooby-Doo for curing me of watching cartoons when I was a young lad. The series was so repetitious and devoid of novelty that I developed a revulsion for cartoons that lasted for years.

You should have made a poll.

Well, I stole the idea, and made a poll here: http://www.youthrights.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2812

                      Who ripped off who?

I always thought this was a wierd cartoon...with a car that talked like a person. Perhaps it had a good following in Germany (ala Knight Rider).

Anyway, did Scooby Doo rip off Speed Buggy or the other way around.

In any case, the dude in Speed Buggy looks just like Shaggy.

It does act a lot like a stimulant somewhat surprisingly, increasing the heart rate.
