  • Potentially new, HORRENDOUS news... faster infecting HIV

A news story on my local radio said the New York health department found two men with a form of aids that mutated from HIV to full blown aids in 3 months... it can take 10 years.

I've been unable to find anything about this online.... if this is true... OY.

Anyone got a link to a "legitamite" news source with this info?

If only all the cases were like that. Then the disease could be much easier to control.

What makes you think that this'd be some kind of new form of HI-virus? It's not that rare for it to take less than a year if you don't take any medicine.

Then again, I'm wishing it to be true... if there'd me a new form of HIV which'd turn into AIDS within a very short timespan, it'd practically greatly lower the amount of people infected in the long run (and wipe out secularists & perverts quicker).

I forgot the part of the report which said it was resistant to all known anti HIV drugs.

Is this where I say "what" and then you say "abstinence"? heh If that is not the case... I assume you heard about this, got a link?

I am a big promoter of abstinence but *shrug* you can't really advise people to be abstinent because it takes an amount of self controll many people are unwilling to use. People have to choose to do it on their own.

Heard about it on NPR. They're the ones that said it was resistant to all but one class of drugs. They neglected to mention which class though.

This is true. Many of the most deadly diseases in human history were so virulant that they killed everyone in the immediate area thus there was no one left to transmite the germs and the outbreak was contained.

In other news NYC health officials have also announced that a new retroviral resistant strain of HIV had been discovered. It appears some people knew they had HIV, were taking anti-retroviral drugs to control the HIV, and still went around having unprotected sex. How ****ed up is that?

Fast acting diseases wiping out their populations quickly due to limited transportation MAY no longer apply... I won't claim expertise on the subject but we, especially the industrialized west can move around.... fast. If some man with this disease has sex in say, four different parts of the country....?

The first person diagnosed with aids was a canadian airline attendant...

Oh. Well, if the report is true, then . This is great news. Actually, I think I'll order a Sunday evening pizza to celebrate this a bit.

the story I posted mentioned that a company that produces said drugs stock was up.

If this is gonna be any similar to what has happened to antibiotics, the virus is going to become resistant eventually to those drugs, too; am I correct?
