The organization I volunteer at wants me to take some short 30-second QuickTime clips out of a DVD they produced. Sadly, I don't have a clue how to get started- any help would be appreciated. I've got access to whatever Mac software I need for this project, but heaven knows what happened to the DVDs source files.

I don't know if virtualdub will work with MPEG2 files, but you can give it a try.

I think that DVD Shrink should do the trick. It's not a mac program, but if that's okay, then check out http://www.dvdshrink.org
