mandated religious attendance, and had the official policy that people should do nothing other then serve the state and pray is an insult to the people who suffered under the Taliban regime.
It's not that far off, what with all the censorship in the media today as well.

Go figure that a Christian doesn't see the US as heading in a bad direction, just like many hardcore followers of Islam felt with the Taliban...

        That's what I've always thought!

I never understood why supposed "gangsters" would wear that crap. How can you be a fighter with crap like that on. They are all posers. Of course I would never tell that to their face.

If you can make it through bell-bottom pants and mu-mus, you can make it through low-riders.

Gee, another southern state trying to legislate morality. Who would have thought?

My (possibly flawed) understanding of gang members wearing the baggy, low-riding pants is this: The style is (or was) called "jailin'," so named because, when you go to jail, the police take your belt and shoestrings so that you don't have anything to hang yourself with. I can't vouch for this, but it's what I've heard, so take this for what it's worth -- pure, unadulterated rumor.

Not only do they take your belt and shoe strings but they only give you one pair of pants for x amount of time. So, either you get them baggy or you risk having a ripped pants when Brutus makes you his new beitch.

Most of the prisoners I've seen have been dressed in sporty orange one-peice suits that zip up iin the front. They don't need belts.

I thought that loose fitting clothes made it easier to hide weapons.

Only people in jail have to wear the orange jumpsuits in Virginia. Once you're in prison you wear jeans, boots, and demin shirts.

People who wear their trousers too low shot be shot on sight (along with girls in strings that show above their jeans), but this law goes too far.

Asher if you think causing sleep deprivation towards people suspected of terrorism, conspiracy theories, and being threatened of a fine of paying $50 for showing your underwears puts us anywhere near the level of the Taliban, where you would be killed or tortured for not following some aspect of religious law, you are too far gone. But I think you are too smart for that, you are most likely trolling here.
