Here's a good idea. Have you ever recommended a book to a polytubby becuase you thought that they could learn something from it? Do you think they actually read it? Probably not, right? So here's your chance to use your power to negotiate to get them to. You can agree to read a book (or maybe more than one) in exchange for getting them to read one or more. There are no rules except you have to read the books that you agree to. You can negotiate to get more than one polytubby to read the book also. Whatever. It's a free market.

I would like some people here to read Candide by Voltaire. It's a short bood so don't expect much in return.
edit: In fact it's on the internet.Last edited by Kidlicious; February 4, 2005, 14:15.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

I would read Free to Choose by Friedman in exchange for the right person reading Candide by Voltaire. I have Free to Choose at home actually. Some one gave it to me, but I have so little respect for Freedman that I never read it.Last edited by Kidlicious; February 4, 2005, 21:02.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... I've already read Candide (more than once actually), so get cracking on Friedman“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
