What do you mean by value?

You mean in currency purposes or survival?

Whatever it means to you. What you consider valuable, or which of the crafts you value the most.

Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

I'm guessing that various forms of masonry are the most valuable right now. Some of the s****y new buildings really go all out on it.

Edit: we've got a Dick Cheney censorship situation going on here.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Photography's the only one that hasn't been replaced by automation yet, but it's more an art than a craft. Oh, and bananasmithing.

In the history of humanity I'd have to go with wood working. Farming is more valuable but that's not a craft.
