  • JPII: Sexual balance and celibacy examinations

From now on, every person willing to become a priest will have to undergo examinations of his capability of living in celibacy and of his "sexual balance", whatever that means.

/me wonders how exactly they are going to test this.... the things these perverts come up with ( pardon the pun ).
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

One way you could test it is to put a candidate alone in a room with a bible in one corner and a couple playboys in the other corner and see how long it takes the person before they reach for the playboys.
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

Playgirls should be in the third table.

        But sadly, it's about paedophilia.

That's some opening you're leaving for a troll btw, the keywords being "boys".

Edit: Hereson wrote what I deleted or at least rephrased.

              Why not castrate them?

I'm glad to see they are taking more efforts to stop pedophiles from joining the priesthood.

The church was always against castration.
ANd a priest should have all the parts of the body intact.

Hm, sexual violence is more than ****ing around, so I'm not sure this would help.

You really think this will do anything?

                              From Blackadder II

Bishop of Bath and Wells: You see I am a colossal pervert. No form of sexual depravity is too low for me. Animal, vegetable, or mineral, I'll do anything to anything.
Blackadder: Ah, fine words for a bishop. Nice to hear the Church speaking out on social issues.

Bishop of Bath and Wells: Drugged, by God!
Blackadder: No, by Baldrick actually - but the effect is much the same.

Bishop of Bath and Wells: You fiend! Never have I encountered such corrupt and foul-minded perversity… Have you ever considered a career in the church?
