  • How music makes you feel

I've just found my Jimi Hendrix cd's, so I've spent the last hour being disturbingly relaxed. Got "The Wind Cries Mary" on at the moment. So how music makes you feel... any experiences and what do you prefer?

I have some 'rock' tunes that makes me aggressive. I like it. really really aggressive.

Then I have a lot of electronic music that a) relaxes me b) makes me want to party c) makes me aggressive and the best d) makes me feel orgasmic, flying in some frequency not used by other people, just enjoying it and wanting to shout 'YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
    In da butt.

Melancholic ballads make me want to roll my Tanks over neighbouring civilizations and starve their cities to size one.

Queens of the Stoneage and Staind make me angry, aggressive, violent and highly strung.

Trance music makes me carefree and hyperactive to the extent where people think I must be on coke.

Air (the band, not the element) Sigur Ros, and Craig Armstrong make me so totally chilled and soothed I pratically pass out. I am eternally thankful to the person who introduced me to them.

Isn't Craig Armstrong a film composer? Can't put my finger on the films, but if so,

Beth Orton gets me into a very escapist mood, if in a disturbed way.

Impressive! If he's who I think he is he's kind of like Michael Nyman in a kind of strange way (from the person who thinks Faith no More sounds like Slipknot). Speaking of whom, it took my six months but I can finally play the theme from The Piano!

MRT! I'm a relative electro beginner, with my disturbingly big collection of Freestyle badly needing some pure breakdance music to make it a bit more credible. What do I need to buy, bearing in mind I own something like one CD of the stuff that mostly contains well-known hits?

It makes me feel an irresitible urge to punch you in the face, slit your stomach open, and hang you in your intestines.
