no way, sideways was superior in many aspects to some movies, totally worthy, HOWEVER I'm not sure if it would have been worthy of Oscars. Nomination? absolutely. I would have given the best direction to Sideways. Or Aviator. DEFINITELY NOT MDB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!In da butt.

Having seen all five nominees for best flick, I certainly thought that MDB was a better movie than the Aviator.
As for Scorsece, lets him manke another great movie, and then maybe he will win an Oscar. If not, he will get a lifetime one.
Plenty of good people never got an oscar. Heck, Kubrick never got one, and died before they gave him a lifetime one.If you don't like reality, change it! me
