  • Well, I guess I told me so...

As I expected... it all came down to Foor Axice. Unable to take it, it was eventually turned against us, and S>A has now lost all our gains. Oh well. I am going on a bit of a vacation for the next few days, and I figured now is a good time to quit.

Rather than say silly things about quitting tradewars forever while I am still upset, I will just say one thing. Dan, please don't place things like "Foor Axice" in the next game. They are unfair to those who aren't lucky enough to find them first.

I apologize to my partner Talon Karrde for my self-destruction, which essentially leaves him all alone. Unfortunately, Apolyton has basically got two shielded planets now, and as I have demonstrated in the past, there is no way to take these kinds of planets in this game. I would rather self-destruct than have them dictate surrender terms to us.

I needed a break anyways, I guess... congrats to Apolyton for using their advantage wisely, and ultimately coming back from the brink of defeat. I personally learned a lot this game, as I believe others did as well, and I hope that some of this knowledge can be implemented to balance and improve the quality of the next tradewars game.

Definitely agreed. Actually, the only reason I wanted to come back was try a few things that I hadn't done before; I assumed that all the planets in our home sector were gone already.

I wanted to play with destroying ports, being evil, things that I wouldn't normally do, but wouldn't mind doing in this game.

I guess now would be a good time to call a cease-fire. Agreed?
Especially given the fact that aeturneus was in charge of the
          war effort, by default really.

And, Solarwind, Smuggler's Alliance will honor its debt to you.
          Not to worry.

Lastly, Smuggler's Alliance is now looking for a new corporate
          partner. Applicants can submit immediately.

          That is all....

By day 2 of this game I had 30% of the universe explored. I fired off hundreds of eprobes, spent almost all of my money on eprobes every day. I didn't colonize. I traded only to buy eprobes.

Markg, you can be really annoying at times

sorry, shouldn't have said that. I am annoying most of the time

they have already agreed to give back the last of the planet they captured from us

i wonder if they will have anything left if they agree to your terms

Umm, that's not good. Can't find it, huh? Well, do you have a planet that could replace it? Or do we have to find out ourselves?

Well, if aeturneus went and made it a personal planet, that would sort of
absolve Smuggler's Alliance of responsibility now wouldn't it?
