This forum seems to be dead. Has anything happened lately with firaxis server? I haven't checked in awhile since the server problems started.


What's the deal here? Has firaxis pulled another "no Civ3 news update"- trick?

Too bad, too, about 3 days of playing with the new, registered version of Swath!

I have a some static IPs at home, and a Windows 2000 server that I try and leave logged on to serve a few things -- what are the requirements for TW2002?

I might be able to host it here, locally. Can't promise a lot of speed and 100% uptime, but I should be able to do an OK job.

Opinions? Ideas?

Yes, I will. Apologies all 'round for not getting back to you on this, but I'm almost done with the Civ site. Once that is done I should be able to rebang the server and set it up to everyone's specifications.

w00t! I didn't miss anything in Quebec. glad to be back home and looking forward to the rebang. As far as settings go, I would say we need to do pretty much the same thing as last time. However, Mark should advertise the tradewars game in one of his mailers, and we should ressurect the pre-registration thread. That way we could get a really good game going as we wait in anticipation for civ3 and empire earth.

Is there an easy way to get in contact with Dan, to see if he has the time available? Should we start the registration thread now? I would offer to try and parse all of the settings from the old game, and put them into a new thread, but I don't have the time for that.
