What constitutes "being eliminated"?

Well, in light of recent posts, what constitues being eliminated? Does getting podded count against the limit, or only if your escape pod is destroyed?

As someone who will most definitely be destroyed sometime soon, this clarification is very important to me.

It is definitely only deaths, not just losing your ship. According to my personal information, I have been destroyed 3 times, in a variety of ships, but since I am still in the game, only actual deaths must count.

I looked through the logs and Solarwind wasn't killed 3 times, I think he was killed twice, including the last time.

Yes, I killed him once and Thor killed him. Why, then, is he out of the game? And why did his escape pod not work? anyone heard of such an incident b4?

Yeah, Solarwind has only been destroyed twice. I still cant figure out why the escape pod didn't work, but either way Solarwind cannot be eliminated as a result of it.

We just have to get Dan's attention to the bug and he'll fix it in no time.

I had that happen in the last game. The script goes by real fast, but from what I caught was that my escape pod had no place to escape to. My case was a dead end sector that a ferengi had entered after me and attacked. Since the game won't let you escape to the sector your attacker came from I died.

Yeah, but I Twarped in, there was no entering sector, and Star dock has many connecting sectors..
