  • The angst that is called nav hazard!

There seem to be a lot of sectors with Nav Hazards in the game -- my quesion: When do they clear? Do they dissipate naturally? I think I read somewhere that creating a planet removes 10% Nav Hazard from a sector, is that true?

I keep taking lot's of damage just coming and going to the Stardock, and it's getting kinda frustrating. =)

Does anyone know a way to avoid sectors with Nav Hazards? I try and density scan before each move, but everyone once in awhile I engage the automove instead of selecting single step, and that tends to do me damage...

I just started using Attac (and have been using Swath for the last few days, since everyone else seems to have a helper, I figured why not?). Is there a way in either of these to "script" to keep me from hitting Nav Hazards?

Nav hazards will dissipate in 1 to 2 days. Just make sure your have shields.

Nav hazards are very bad. Best thing to do about them is have your shields. Thats all.

In reading up on this on one of Swath's message boards (the discussion about the '*' key), I noticed that the debris reduction percentage is set to 3, so every day 3% of the debris in the map goes away. I guess the reason that the numbers don't seem to be going down is that idiots like me keep impaling ourselves upon the debris, and adding our mass to the conglomerate!

Hmm yeah. That and blind warping - Aeturneus lost an ISS with 10k figs... too bad for o.z. corporation, that was 90% of our asset value. I guess a person should have found out what 'blind warping' was before attempting to do it.

Well, from someone with an ISS and less fighters than that, with 100% of my assets tied up in my ship, I guess I'm glad I haven't tried it yet. Is it a percentage chance that your ship blows up when blind t-warping, or is it something else?

If there is anything at all in that sector (ie. Density scanner reads greater than 0 density) chances are you will blow your ship blind warping in there.
