  • WANTED: 100k REWARD

WANTED - YIN2, member of the Apolyton Corp.

The Imperium Galactica Corporation is hereby offering a 100,000 credits reward for the destruction (not capture) of Yin2's Starmaster starship and the destruction of the associated escape pod.

We are also offering an additionnal reward of 50,000 credits for the destruction or capture of any ship belonging to the Apolyton Corporation. This reward is cumulative, the more ships you bring down, the more you get.

Any information leading directly to the location of the Apolyton Corporation main base of operation will bring a reward of up to 50,000 credits.

Destruction of said base of operation will bring an immediate reward of 1,000,000 credits.

(Nothing personal Yin2 , but you shouldn't have taken the opportunity to blow me out of the sky when I was frozen there due to this -rant mode ON- freaking lame -rant mode OFF- one hour a day turn limit.)

Don't get too cocky yin, you may just end up regreting it!

          Which tells us two things:

          1. You don't a have base by now. That would just be dumb. But hey, you never know.
          -or-
          2. You think it's so well defended that nobody can go through. That, again, would be just dumb. But hey, if that's how you feel, please, let us know of it's location and we'll see if you're right. Beside, why do I have the sneaky suspicion that you won't give me (or anyone one else for that matter), those 10 millions once we've destroyed it?

Ya know, after blowing up my ship which was left without protection due to the newly discovered time limit, if you only said "gotcha!" or something to that effect, I might have understood and only destroyed your own ship. But nooo... you must go on ranting about how loving, caring and understanding Apolyton Corp. actually is when it's destroying other people ships!!! I was only a (dis)honest trader who was late in joining the game and I was happy minding my own business, ya know, "live and let live", that kinda stuff. But if it's war you want, it's war you'll have.

(PS. And yeah, of course I'm hurting (ref. the other thread). So much in fact that I can afford giving out millions of credits in rewards!)

Yes, I offered 10,000,000 credits myself. Bring on your best, Hutak. It'll make finding you to kill your NEXT ship that much easier.

By the way, an evil trader at the top of the leaderboard "Just minding his own business" is a contradiction in terms if I ever heard one. Face it: You chose the path of evil to take a shortcut (you were hardly late to the game, btw), and now have to pay the price.

The universe shall be cleansed of your vile machinations!

I'm sorry to have to bother you with some facts, put please, don't let that stop your delusionnal rambling.

                  1. Yes, I admit it, I'm annoyed that I got killed simply for being the first one to discover the one-hour "feature".

                  2. But if you think I actually care about you blowing up one of my ships, you're wrong. I'm evil, that's part of the deal I got into, being blown up on a regular basis. I accept it. It would have costed me less than 40k if I could have been bothered to replace that ship anyway, so really, I couldn't care less.

                  3. Having said that, and considering the fact that Apolyton Corp. is being on a rampage destroying any ships in sight, I feel that I'm doing my fellow traders a service by posting those rewards and thus, hopefully, help blow your sorry predatory arses out of the sky for a while.

                  4. No, I didn't took the evil path to "take a shortcut". I took it because everyone else was playing good, and no diversity is lame. Beside, cowering in fedspace, being nice, sucking up to the federals? *pukes* No thanks!

                  5. Contradiction in terms? Here's one for you: "Good homicidal maniac". Now that's a real kicker.

                  6. I was late in the game. Considering that my own grow rate looks pretty much like an exponential function, 5-6 days makes a huge difference. Especially if all the leading players except you merged into one corporation.

                  7. Urban: While I don't think he has it, it's very much possbile that Apolyton Corp. as a whole as more that amount in their coffers. Not that they would actually honor their part of the bargain and give us that money if (when) we will destroy their base.

                  8. But as I said, don't let facts interfer with your delusions of grandeur. That would be a shame, since it's so cute.

It's simple really. If Hutak has 1,000,000 credits, surely we can give you 10 times the lie and say we have 10,000,000. You see, evil traders are very bad with numbers and like to insult people's intelligence.

I suppose Hutak you will cry about this "feature" business all the way of of the game. Fact is, you are gonna get nailed next time as well. What will be the excuse then?

As for Apolyton Co., I have explained it fully. We are doing the universe a great good, though we do not expect you to see until you are totally bankrupt. Next time I'll take your Escape Pod, too, so you can really do some thinking about how evil you've been and no doubt plan to be.

By the way, I encourage anybody out there to go in league with this rogue who only gains experience by stealing and breaking the law. First, though, you'll have to help him land his escape pod and go shopping for a new ship, shields and fighters.

By the way, your growth rate looks like an eponential function because you are stealing. See? Those of us on the side of Good have actually had to work for what we have. This won't stop you from justifying yourself, of course, or for making excuses later when you have no place to hide.

Mind you, your Evil Blabber is quite amusing.

(P.S. Hutak, I am actually enjoying our Good v. Evil tirades and I hope you can see my joke in here. It's a game, and I think this kind of vendetta adds a lot of spice. Since this is the first serious "confrontation" so to speak, I hope you realize I'm just playing a role. For what's it's worth, I didn't know you were STILL stuck because of the turn-limit. Gotta say, though, you were AWFULLY exposed for supposedly having 1,000,000 credits. Anyway, just wanted to drop out of the acting a moment before we carry on.)

                        Away with you, Evil Scum!

I'm not hiding the fact that I don't like the two-hour time limit. I understand the reasons for it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Yes, the only reason I got killed was because of it. Next time I get blown up? I dunno, maybe I will have made a stupid decision, maybe I will have gotten careless, maybe another player will have executed a smart move, maybe it was simply fate. I don't know. All I can said is that, this time, I got disconnected from the server because of the newly introduced time-limit that I didn't know about.

As for the exponential grow rate, I really fail to see how Apolyton Corp. as a whole can end up pulling less than around one million a day right now, even by trading. And you know, it isn't actually my problem that you chose the "wrong" and less efficient path.

Hum... maybe I overestimated you guys...

Hum... where my comments too confrontational that you felt the need to specify you weren't actually an idiotic holier-than-thou paladin in real life? If that's the case, I apologize. Rest assured that I'm not pissed at you or anything and understand that it's all "in game". (and fun too!)

Not that I won't derive great pleasure from witnessing your demise.

(Yeah, I played my turn near the beginning of the day and I got stuck there with more than 3/4 of my turns left because I was in conversation with someone else. So I was basicaly a sitting duck for the next 23 hours.)

(What, you expect me to trade in an interdiction cruiser? )

Oh, there can be no doubt that Evil is the more "efficent" path. But to what? Money? For a time. But mark this day, Hutak, for you have begun to feel the Mighty Sting of those who struggle on the Path of Good: Your efficient path is also quite efficiently taking you to the Eternal Void where, stripped of all you have "gained" in this life, you will recount the minutes as years during which you COULD have and SHOULD have repented your Evil Ways and deposited all your credits with Apolyton Co. to cleanse yourself of your sins.

It is not too late, Hutak. 1,000,000 credits given to me in the next 24 hours will buy you another chance at a fresh soul and Enlightenment. You CAN still be saved, Hutak, if you would only dispense with your insidious pride!

Or, if you like, 50,000 credits will buy you some lessons on why you should never fly around with 93 fighters and no shields when you plan to take over the galaxy.

Both options are rather good bargains.
