Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I've loaded your game and they always prefer conquering Boston (maybe because you can attack Filadelfia...).
In my opinion, as long as Filadelfia is a city with a hard future (look at all that ice, man!), I'd let them conquest it, and as you know, there are 2 leaders there... so, you wait until they conquest Boston and then go with your archer and another unit from Filadelfia (buy it) and make and ambush... 200 gold in a pair of turns and get rid of that Boston...
Sure but the barbarians might not "know" that, sometimes the goto AI for ships and planes stop since it thinks there is ZoC in place around units even though that is not true for Air and Sea units.
What if the Barbarian Ai works the same way in this case?
Before conquering Boston, the barbarians sent me this message.
This message didn't appear in my first version of Civ II (my Spanish version), the Barbarians conquered the cities without mercy, but when I updated it to Civ II 2.42 this option amazed me.
I think, Yaros, your MPGE version has a problem with the events, the computer wants to pop up the message which doesn't exist (maybe), so the barbarians get stuck.
I will give an explanation in Spanish because I don't know how to explain it in English, sorry , I will try to translate it later.
I've no idea about that Civ2 MPGE come with events.txt. I've installed the patch to upgrade Civ 2.42 to MPGE, and both (the english and the spanish patch) have no events.txt ...
Trying to rehabilitateh and contribuing again to the civ-community
