  • Have you guys heard of warforuming?

I was looking at the posts in the PBEMs and I was wondering if youd be interested in warforuming considering its similarities.

I never really understood how it worked. This is as good a place as any other else to explain the basic warforum rules, so...

    Go on, Martín.

          Its rules are quite simple.

You have a community of people on a forum where each person chooses a nation and, on the boards, leads it to glory, basically.

How to play your nation? Within the limits of realism that are allowed (some warforums are hardline realism, others are more lenient) you make news posts for your country, simulate internal politics, strike deals with other players, wage war on other players and such.

The game is purely a "conversational" type of game, in which you write the things that are happening or you are making in your nation and the rest react to them. Your neighbors may be happy or feel antagonised... then pley it out on the diplomacy. Research science or build a state-of-the-art armed forces. Wage war. Conquer. Or fight in the name of democracy, you choose it.

At The Frontier we have a flourishing community of warfourmers.

          The current games are:

          Destiny of the World
Starting in the present day, this game has been running for a while. Take a nation, simulate its internal politics, conflicts struggle and fight for a better place under the sun. Be peaceful and prosper or be a crazy warmonger. But remember, realism is sought here as much as possible. Wars can't be waged just because. Drop by and read the DotW Encyclopaedia and see what its all about or post in the DotW OOC (Out Of Character) forum.

          Seventh War

The seventh sequel of the original Great War, pick a nation in today's world and, within certain levels of unrealism, lead it to glory. Trying to concentrate on waging war, military units and such are cheap to build and maintain. Drop by and look through this and the OOC forum for seventh war as well.

          The Age of Imperialism
Starting in January 1885, the AoI has of late died a glorious death after lasting for well over 6 months. But the rules are being facelifted and soon it will be restarting, so you can get a chance at choosing something big. Drop by, snoop around, and if you are interested, register and contact the various moderators for further into or post in the forums.

I am only interested in the last one (1885) and that one "has been closed to prevent civil war" whatever that means

I checked it but I found this in the webpage

12 hours isn't too long. Use the time to think about the future of The Frontier. Where would you like to see The Frontier in the future?
                  what does that mean??

I know... Damnit, the Seventh War and Destiny of the World seemed to be competing with each other... and a couple of posters started to flame against each forum and such... evidently the admin decided to close it for a while so that people could think upon their actions...

                    Damn.

Try again tomorrow people, please do. We're always happy to welcome new people to the community, as the more people the better the game is.

I registered and made one post in a thread in the The Age of Imperialism forum.

Where can I find the rules?
