I never tried it as the Holy Roman Empire. Sounds like fun, so I'll take them. If someone else wants them, I'll go with France or Britain as alternates, but it really doesn't matter (As long as it's not the Berbers or the Ottomans ).

        Alright, all we need now is HsFB, and to pick civs and we are ready to go!

cpoulos=Holy Roman Empire
Exile=Ottoman Empire
Henrik=France
Hogfather=?
HsFB=?
We also now have an extra slot open. Fiera, do you want in?

          Finally dragged myself out. I'll take the Turks if no one else is interested. The Berbers shouldn't be played. The Commercial states are optional; if all the other civ are wanted by others, I'll take the Commercial States. If we can only get 5 players, though, we can leave out the CS.

              Henrik, with France the chances are good you'll be at war from the very start of the game (or at least from turn 2, via an event). England will more likely have a period of initial peace. Which one is more appealing to you? HogF, which civ do you want?

              Looking forward to Lepanto,
              Exile

                  Hogfather, Jay Bee's site has this scenario. It is called "The modern Age". You can find it in the European area of the Spanish Civilization site.

                      I'd be interested to join in if there's room for me. However, if HsFB finally finds the way to run the scn, I'll understand he was here first.

                        It doesn't matter, really... I can deal whit both
                        I just realized that I will have to redownload the scenario, since I only have the modified version

                          Sorry to hear that you can't play, HsFB. O.K., here's were we are:

cpoulos=Holy Roman Empire
Exile=Ottoman Empire
Henrik=France
Hogfather=Britain
Fiera=Spain
We still need you guys to pick either Spain or Britain, so let us know and we can get underway!
                          Edit:If HsFB can still play, we will change things the way Exile said in his post.

                            HsFB, there are patches so that pre-MGE Civ2 programs can run MGE scenarios. Don't know where they are, but someone else might. If you still want to play, no problem; you can have the Turks and I'll take the spoilers--the Commercial States. It's not really fair for me to take a full-strength player postion anyway because I know the scenario so well.

                            About "Looking forward to Lepanto," well, with the AI, there can never be epic sea battles like the Armada or Lepanto because the stupid AI throws his naval units into the fight piecemeal, one-at-a-time, So huge fleets never really get the chance to happen. I don't really care whether I win or lose, it would just be a refreshing change to see a really BIG fleet (or 2) go at it.

                              Well considering that most civs will be human controlled you just migt get see some epic battles.

                                I think Hogfather (and HsFB if he still want to play) should pick a civ first, however I for one would find great to play as Spain and have HogF play as Britain... I guess he will like it too...

                                What do you say, Martín?
