Sorry, I haven't been really following this thread, so it sounds stupid to say it afterwards, but I actually knew this one. There is only one person who 1) made remarks as arrogant as these 2) was so directly the personalization of the Revolution.
Anyway, I really love Napoleon, he's my big idol. He has said so many nice quotes. You can write a book full of them.
