          Here is what the Atlas of Naval Warfare says about the battle of La Rochelle (22-23 June 1372): "The English send a fleet under Lord Pembroke to the Bay of Biscay to relieve the besieged La Rochelle. During an attempted forcing of the harbour entrance, they are subject to a surprise attack by a Franco-Castillan fleet under Ambrosio Bocanegra. On the first day the contest is indecisive, but, on the second day, Pembroke is captured and the English fleet almost completely destroyed."

                Hey Waku, you sure can make a guy look small! I tried for three hours and only came up with that little scrap! Excellent research work.

                    O.K., I looked for several hours on the net and came up with this. Most acounts don't even talk about naval warfare.
