PS. You seem to know my scens well What is the one you like more?

PPS. Are you Greek, American or both?

A few answers from my humble(Yeah, that's a laugh!)self: I love many of your scenarios(but not all, but that's for another time), but my favorite is Al-Andalus. I got a better understanding of the Reconquista from that scenario then in four years in college. I even won it as the Navarres(I didn't post it because I cheated: I changed the number of units under fundy that are free from 0 to 10!). Sneaky, but loads of fun nonetheless! My father is Greek, and my mother is(gasp, don't say it on the spanish site!) English. I have been a sneaky (I.E. not registered), watcher of apoly for years, but to humble(That again?!?) to join untill recently. I'm the guy that always asks for a Peninsular war scenario in your guestbook! One other thing about the topic(What was it again?): Cortez's victory cannot be diminished by the fact that the Aztecs did not understand metalworking. This is a tactical advantage of some measure, but men must still fight with a will to win agaisnt overwhelming odds. Remember the Italian failure in Ethopia in the 19th century, and the defeat of the british at Isandlwana against the Zulus(Roake's drift is another story). Now a question from me: What are you working on now?

What Pizarro did with the Incas was even more astounding imho. Regrettably, when you praise those events people usually regard you as an imperialistic guy with no concern for human rights and blah, blah, blah... and that's not the point at all.

I couldn't agree more... There's not a single conqueror in the whole human history like Francisco Pizarro... and I don't give a damn if it isn't PC...

Oh no, I think this is important! Use personal messages or private e-mail if you wish to keep it private but let me know anyway.

Historically-wise I agree that this is probably the best one.

Troi all the way, but don't tell my girlfriend! She thinks I only watch the show for it's story content! I'll send an e-mail about scenario reviews.

Actually, Pizarro and Cortes did little... they allied themselves with the oppressed tribes (oppressed by Incas and Aztecs respectively) and let them have it out.

Well... not really, je, je. Lo que pasa es que ninguno tenemos ni p. idea de lo que paso en esas batallas... es que tenemos tan mala memoria, je, je

I just want to include between the most important battles, the battle of Pavia, where Francois I King of France was taken prisoner by Charles I of Spain (1525). I don't think to take prisoner the king of an enemy country is something very usual, at least not in that time.

Yes, I agree, Pavía is surely our most brilliant victory, but, regretably, it wasn't that influential, so that's why I didn't listed it before (and because I was sure that somebody else would list it)...

It's a pity, but Pavía wasn't the decisive victory over France that it could have been...

PD: ¡Bienvenido al foro, Waku, espero que te pases para echarnos unas charlas en español de vez en cuando, que es lo que más se agradece...
