Exacto N35t0r, estas ciudades fueron durante siglos la frontera entre moros y cristianos

Exact N35t0r, these cities were the border between Moors and Christians during centuries

Of these I recommend to you Arcos and Vejer, They was made at the top of the mountain as strongholds and has impressive views.

Don't forget Cádiz, where you will be able to follow the steps of your compatriot Sir Francis Drake devastating the city.

And of course, Trafalgar, that now lodges the more multitudinal rave parties of Europe

The most beatiful city in the World is Málaga, where I live....

Now seriously, Tarifa is a nice place to visit, specially if you like wind-surfing (very good wing all the year). Cadiz is nice, but very small. In general, I don't know that a interesting thing can I recommend you from Cadiz.

If you like high-populated beach (with both a lot of Spanish and tourist), visit Málaga and the nearby cities, Marbella, Fuengirola, Rincón de la Victoria.

For a much more interesting and cultural trip, visit Seville (seriously, the city is worth a visit), Cordoba (with a faboulous Muslim temple) and Granada (with The "Alhambra", a extremely beatiful muslim palace). There are also good beachs in Huelva, and intensive agriculture in Jaen and Almeria. And it's all, because Andalucia is composed by Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga y Sevilla.

I'm from Andalucia, so if I can help you planning your trip, it will be a pleasure.

BTW, here is a tip: "guiri" is a slang word heavily used in Andalucia to describe the tourists, specially the tourist from the United Kingdom, USA, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and that kind of countries

'guiri' is also code for 'rip him off real fast, he has fat wads of euros'

Its lucky I don't have fat wads of euros then eh. Or is it, actually i wouldn't mind having fat wads of euros.

I hope to avoid the densly populated costa de la sol. I don't like lots of people. I'm hoping to find little places to stay.

I'm going to visit the beach somewhere around Conil Frontera, maybe stay at a little place called El Palmar. Will probably check out Tarifa as i'm learning how to windsurf.
I was thinking about going to Gibraltar for a look, but I've been reading about it and it doesn't sound like it would be that nice.
Will Probably go to Ronda and tour around that area.
I don't really have a set agenda just float around.

If you want huge semi-desert beachs you would find many of them exploring the coast line from Conil to Tarifa. I recomend you Bolonia Beach. It is one of the best beachs in Spain. There are dunes of +50 meters tall and there are also the ruins of the ancient roman city of Baelo-Claudia some meters from the beach sand.
But you could find some ilegal inmigrants from Africa arriving to the beach too.

If you want to practice Windsurf you should go to Tarifa. You can find surfers from all the world surfing in Los Lances Beach. Here winds never stop.
