Pre-game notes: I've been working on this NES for a while... I'm not expecting it to start immediately. Something to chew on until we start. The reason it's a futuristic NES is because we have too many NESes from the past

It is 2005. The EU have joined as one, and Britain, having recently lost it's ally in America, joined the show. Seeing the threat that is the EU, the Old Communist Bloc have re-created the dominant USSR, after the previous democratic governments fell into chaos and disorder.
Europe isn't the only one to join together... The Chinese Empire is rebuilding, taking Vietnam, Mongolia and Korea without much trouble. South Asia have joined together as "Free Asia". The Arab League have seen what the rest of the world are doing, and have joined together. In Eurasia, only Turkey, Switzerland and Norway remain neutral... but will the defences hold?
Africa is rife with civil war. However, South Africa and Zimbabwe have joined together and conquered much of South Africa. The rest of Africa, still in a state of disorganisation, have not had the chance to bond, and are at the mercy of the Arab League, and South Africa...
The Americas have been mainly quiet in this period. Canada is still working toward world peace, which seems a lost cause. The United States have fallen into recession after losing it's trading partners in Europe. Mexico have conquered the Carribean, and their eyes are set on South America. Brazil and Argentina, both deep in recession, are struggling to keep their armies fed and watered.
Over in the Pacific, the Pacific Islands have allied together, and Japan stands alone in it's anti-imperialist stance.
Add to this the dissolved "No Nukes" pact, and stir. Cook for 4 years and serve.
And so the scene is set.
Let the games begin...
