And so the infidels are driven back from Sofia, soon Moscow will fall!

Geez, I would have had Anchorage and the Yukon support each other (or something else) had I known they were there...

Du_ Chateau, I don't mean to complain too much, but I'm confused here. Holland NMR'd because Coug didn't turn in moves, and yet Russia was allowed orders by a replacement player (a very GOOD replacement player I might add). I don't care too much, and I'm not really protesting anytrhing, but since I spent my turn negotiating with Ubercheesecake, only to have Berzerker turn in moves, I'm a bit perplexed. Not that I could have trusted Berzerker anyway, but I could have at least forced him to lie to me again. The point is, we should be given a chance to negotiate with a player if he's taking over, AND additionally let's have some consistency. Holland should have been allowed replacement moves as well if Russia was. Maybe there's something that I'm missing here, but this is the current perception.

Otherwise everything looks fine, though I think my Chinese hordes trapped some Frenchies in Mandalay. We aren't taking prisoners, so they can just go away!

Some of the best points to watch in these games are certain individuals going head to head, even if they didn't know it. Ruffhaus8 and Berzerker are definitely a set. I just wished Berzerker would have had Russia from the beginning, could have been extremely interesting. The Mongoose and Rattler at it again, some people would pay money to see these battles of tactics and diplomacy skills.

Replacing players or finding substitutes, I hate them also, but Du Chateau has to keep the game going. Do we need a replacement for Russia and Holland?

              I talked to Coug...

he seems REALLY busy lately, and this is #2...

              why not find a replacement?

I wish there could be some consistency. This was not a fun move adjucate. I thought that Ubercheesecake would turn his last moves before he quit. I knew that Coug probably would not do his moves because I gave him a map and everything. The problem was that I could only find one person online at time I started adjucating moves. So I opted for Russia to be first in line and Holland second. Russia was first because I thought that Ubercheesecake quit after two day after the deadline. Now have to find a replacement for Russia and probably one for Holland also. I do not want to have this many NMR's next time. Sorry about the inconsistancy.

Not your fault Du Chateau, lack of discipline I guess on Uber and Coug, I will try hard to convince Chazzy to take one or the other, maybe Berzerker would like to stick around for one of the two, doesn't hurt to ask.

Stuck between Chazzy and Berzerker again, huh? That sounds like fun. At least I won't have that 'defiant' vulture looming over me this time.

PM Palmerston Drinks his 5 o'clock Tea

As the Royal Navy paints the seas blue and the Pax Britannica prevails throughout the Empire, PM Palmerston invited his political colleagues to a "tea and croquet" on the lawn of the Houses of Parliament to commemorate the glorious control of the Indian Ocean and the success of the Canadian campaigns. There was a small scandal about who the best cricket player was and Lord Salisbury won the croquet game and was invited to a round of ceylon tea by his fellows.
