Dip 23 Colonial 1884 (Fall) Orders

    PRESS:

The plague of English occupation which has long blemished the Far East is purged. India is next...

    +

    China and Britain sign peace!

After preparing the defense of China from the British, General Chong-Kuong Tan and General Fung-Shuo launched a counteroffensive against the British troops that had crossed into China in the north and in Myanmar.

After many months of fighting, the Chinese troops entered India and the table opened to negotiations. In exchange for peace, Britain has ceded Bengal and Kashmir and the treaty has been celebrated throughout Peking. The Chinese armies are now moving east to engage the French armies that are making their way into China proper.

I did neglect to put the British A Kashmir on the map after Midshipman retreated there last turn. I'm sorry. I definately screwed up. However, the adjucation stays as is. The army is in Kashmir, and notice of the retreat was place on the thread.

While it is my job to adjucate the orders, and update the map, I will slip up on occasion. In the future I suggest that everyone take me up on my offer to "please check for errors." I will try to keep them to a minimum, but you guys need to keep track of your own units too. Again I am sorry, but ironically it my error seems to have done Britain a favor, as it bounced two Chines advances, and prevented the loss of another SC. Sorry, Hodad. But you're already storing three builds that you cannot use till you clear out some more home supply centers.

Here are the Suel Canal Rules again:

9.3 Suez Canal - This rule reflects the importance of Egypt and allows the player who controls Egypt to move a fleet directly from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea (and vice versa) through the Seuz Canal. The following Rules apply:

9.31 You must have a unit in Egypt for the entire turn in order to use the canal (e.g. F EGY - hold, F MED - RS)

9.32 The unit in Egypt may have a support order (e.g. F EGY supports F MED - RS, F MED - RS or F EGYP supports A ERI - SUD, F MED - RS) since this does not move the unit out of Egypt.

9.33 The unit in Egypt may have an attack order order so long as it results in a standoff and the unit in Egypt stays in Egypt (e.g. F EGY - SUD, A ERI - SUD, F MED - RS).

9.34 You may also permit a foreign power to use the canal, but orders must be written for this. The additional order which gives use of the canal to another power is SUEZ CANAL use - designated SC. This is followed by the nationality and order for the fleet permitted to use the canal. (e.g. if Turkey is permitting a British fleet in the red Sea to move to the Mediterranean Sea through the canal, the order would read A EGY S SUD, SUEZ CANAL British F RS - MED)

9.35 If supporting a foreign power throught the canal, simply write the support order as normal, since use of the canal is implied (e.g. A EGY supports British F RS - MED)

9.36 If a superor force dislodges the unit controling the canal, a fleet ordered to use the canal will be prevented from doing so.

The map shows F Sum. This should be an army.
                All syllogisms have three parts.
Therefore this is not a syllogism.

French authorities expressed shock at China's surprise message which amounted to a declaration of war. French armies have been ordered to shift north and pill... er colonize, southern China in response.
