  • 20th Century Dip OVER!

With the lack of interest in GM'ing the game, I am declaring it over with a draw between the United States and England, we can put this one behind us and concentrate on the remaining. Dip 20 is going and moves are due this Friday and Mayhem seems to have run into another little bump but should be online again, ASAP.

Sorry guys, I don't know what else to do in 20th.

Columbia fully supports this conclusion, especially since it survives to the end this way

Now if you would but stab Austria in San Andreas... all would be well.

PARLIAMENT APPROVES WORLDWIDE ARMISTICE! CEASE FIRE DECLARED ON ALL FRONTS!

            LONDON, December 31, 1941

Prime Minister Ruffhaus addressed the nation after an emergency session of Parliament approved in principle the key points of a peace proposal tabled by President Defiant of the United States by a narrow margin. After lenghty and passionate debate, and a contentious vote that was managed without a recount, the decision to cease global conquest was reached.

Prime Minister Ruffhaus successfully argued that with the defeat of Communisim the primary objective of the war has been achieved. A corrollary objective arose when National Socialism ravaged western Europe, primarily in Germany and Italy, and then later having spread to France. This plague threatened to spread across the oceans in an apparent effort seek global domination and an implementation of the National Socialist agenda worldwide. However, with the recent shift in ideology in Italy, the surrender of France, and the apparent calls for peace from Germany, it seems clear that the devil has been destroyed. Furthermore Japan's aggression has also waned, and it seems that Emperor Chazzy seeks peace as well.

Many thanks were issued to President Defiant for his role in stemming the surge of the Japanese war machine in the Pacific Ocean, and for his efforts in quelling the attempted rise of Communism in the Americas. The world is a better place for the leadership of England and the United States of America.

Hurrah! The war is over. May there be no more war!

OOC: As I mentioned ealier I would have preferred to continue playing. However, in the absence of a GM and facing the prospect of another lenghty pause in the game, I too have lost interest in it. I will accept the draw proposal tabled by Defiant, that being a draw victory between England and the USA. Natuarally I think we need to hear from Chazzy (Japan) and Talon (Italy) as they could in theory still contest this and alter end result by playing on. In theory, we should hear from all players, so that we have a unanimous decision on this. I'll ask it again here now. Is there any opposition to a draw between England and the USA?

              To: Prime Minister Ruffhaus

Very well put and the war is over, may we live in peace.

I would have also perferred playing but lost interest also. The two countrie we heard from, Frick the leader of Columbia and Frack, the leader of Brazil have backed the draw as well as did Emperor Chazzy(The Merciless). Talon should acknowledge this as well as the rest of the leaders. Everybody, thanks for playing, it was fun.

Dammit, I liked this game. I wanted to roll over France and Germany, then fight to the bloody death with England. Ah well, if everyone else wants to quit, so bet it.
