IC: More reinforcments; a faster blitz across Afghanistan. Even with heightening resistance, Iraniaq's army rolls bravely towards Kabul. So far nearly 1500 are reported dead on the side of Iraniaq, but Afghanistan is reported to have lost nearly 9000; most of them no more than civilians with knives. The arring factions of Afghanistan cannot seem to cooperate to fight the common enemy, and it is their undoing. Iraniaqi commanders laugh as Talibans kill their own Afghan brethren after firing several rounds at their T-72 tanks. One armored division is reported to be within 100 miles of Kabul, but it is likely to hold there until the others can arrive.

50,000 more troops and 70 additional tanks arrive at the border with Pakistan. Pakistan, in turn, sends 110,000 of their own soldiers and 85 T-55s attempting to match Iraniaq; more is reported to be on the way. Facing such an enemy, Iraniaq is likely to put off an invasion of Pakistan until either India invades first and is having some degree of success, or after the Afghanistan is pacified. Either way, it spells trouble for the Pakis...

Military Modernization Act

Proposed by Bharat himself was a military modernization plan, called the Military Modernization Act. It would have various factories produce and equip state-of-the-art equipment to the military. We are also asking nations if they would like to make certain purchases if they have equipment that is state-of-the-art. Also, relating to this, the plan to cut down on military budget has been *turned down* for now. Basically, India did not need it now that trade has been issued with our neighbors. Our economy is beginning to grow, and we plan to keep making it grow, of course.

Arabian troops are slowly moving southwards in Mogadishu, and are constantly encountering disorganized, but heavy, resistance. Youngsters armed with Kalashnikovs can be found everywhere, and the Yemenites, Djiboutians and Somalians are slowly advancing in the city, trying to sweep the streets clean of these terrorists. Greater Arabia has reported 12 casualties in Mogadishu for now, but casualties on the sides of the warlords are estimated much higher, at around 65. Some 235 Somalians in Mogadishu have been arrested for now, and many more arrests will follow. They are going to be tried in the near future for various crimes, ranging from murder to illegal possession of weapons. In the pace the Arabs are advancing now, Mogadishu should be secured next month.

Work is expected to take 14 months.

FILIPINO ISLANDS TO BE JOINTLY CONTROLLED

Shogun Yomitsu announced that the Phillipines will be jointly controlled by the Empire of Japan and the Polynesian Coalition. The offical treaty will be signed in Jakarta tomorrow. Emperor Akihito has no comment on the Filipino treaty.

MILITARIZATION CONTINUED

The militarization of Japan continues. Emperor Akihito today said that "although our nation must have peaceful intentions in the time to come with the amount of massive militaries in the world today it is only fair for us to play catch up". A large amount of teens in Japan are eager to proove their worth. Enlistment stations have reported a 4% gain in the amount of people joining the military. Hyundai factories have agreed to set aside some of their production quotas to work on tanks.

SAK OFFERED TREATY

Yesterday the Empire of Japan offered the new South Asian Kingdom (SAK) a treaty that the Emperor and the Shogun believe would be beneficial to both our nations. The SAK will recieve military protection from Japan and in exchange will gain land for factories and industry and free trade for our corporations.
Shogun Yomitsu says we have yet to recieve a reply.

KURIL AND SAKHALIN IN QUESTION

With our new government in place we feel that our claims to the Kuril Islands should be recognized by the Neo-Soviet Union. Shogun Yomitsu has announced that Japan also would like to gain control of Sakhalin Island. However we wish to gain control of these islands peacefully.

To SAK - What say you on our treaty? (OOC: I'm going on vacation in a few hours )

To Russia - Would you consider allowing us to gain control of the Kuril and Sakhalin Islands. We are willing to pay for them. Consider how alot of yin could help your recovering economy.

The militarization of Ireland continues despite the reunification of the country. The ship factories in Belfast are to be reactivated. All the surplus is being spent on defence. Healthcare suffers, but in the name of the Republic people are prepared to make sacrifices.

Another thing: Captain, by reading above I noticed that you wanted people not to take, claim, or attack land that you wanted? I am not sure, but most-likely, you can't tell people not to attack/claim land just because you are going to attack it. (Whoever snoozes looses, eh? )

And why would you tell everyone you are going to attack it in the first place? Just seems a bit odd, that is all.
