OOC: Just numbers, my friend, just numbers...unless while the war has gone on and I wasn't here (I just recently came in) you used your economy for a massive military build up?

To JT3 - Damnit man!!! No matter how backwards a navy is they always have some form of troop transport. Right? If not anything CAN be converted into one.

      IC

To CTA - What do you see wrong with those terms? A DMZ zone for Canada, guaranteeing Canadian independance, and an autonomous government for Maine. We still believe the Mainers want no part of the UDSa however we see this as an acceptable compromise.

OOC : Well I suppose you do have superior numbers in foot soldiers. But I'm kind of assuming Japan has modern technology. That's why I'm looking for information on their military.

OOC: Kirk, don't expect Japan's military to be much. Especially since the US pulled out. Also don't expect to build up a very massive military as Japan's industry is mostly commerical now.

Polaris, Japan's changed hands a few times so they really couldn't keep a going project.

JT3, Bearcat can transport those troops. Even if they're just converted oil tankers or freighters. He can transport them, any nation has the capability to. Now, how reliable those vessels are and how easily they're destroyed is a complete other story.

We are very eager for better relations with you as well. We offered the former government an alliance and they accepted, we hope we can continue to do the same.

OOC: Mao no I really didn't expect Japan to have a juggernaut but I guess I kind of expected them to have a bit of a military.

P.S. - Ahh yes but that can all change muahahahaha

Yes, I was talking about troop transports alone, if he wants to lose tens of thousands of men when my subs hit his cargo ships transporting his troops he can go ahead.

IC: The CTA has sent an extra 7 Los Angeles Class attack submarines to the battlegroup near Peru. This raises the total of attack submarines in the area to 16. If any troop ships are sent out of Peru's territorial waters they will be either destroyed from the air or torpedoed.

OOC: Japan's military is insignificant. The standing forces don't have more than 150,000 standing troops. I don't think they have more than a dozen submarines, and less than 20 light warships. Their air forces don't amount to more than maybe 400 aircraft. In other words... JAPAN IS WEAK.

It would take years of industrial development to produce a military. The auto industry may be established... and shipping possible, but Large ships and large tank projects don't seem feasible. Most of their current projects are kits that were produced in the United States and assembled in Japan.

Your idea sounds appealing to us. How long would you estimate it would take for you to prepare 3000 T-100s for sale? We would be extremely interested in making such a deal. Please get back to us on this ASAP. btw, when will the T-72s arrive?

We're pleased to hear you have signed an alliance with our good friend, the Imperial Chinese Empire; may your futures shine brightly together. But in the meanwhile, President Shabaz seeks better relations between Iraniaq and your nation. We would like to sign a mutual non-agression pact, assuring ourselves that we shall not fire upon each other out of anger. Ever. Does this sound agreeable?

                        TASHKENT FALLS
Iraniaqi forces have bltized their way across the war-torn cityscape of Tashkent today, marking the completetion of the Iraniaqi annexation of Uzbekistan. More than 5000 soldiers and civilians from each side lay dead, and another 7000 wounded, but that's a small price to pay for Iraniaq's glory. An impromptu celebration is held with Chinese forces on the east side of the city; Shabaz is forever greatful to China for providing artillery cover while his own troops took the brunt of the assault.
Partisan movements are almost nil; most groups have simply given in to the obvious victor. Immediatly the city starts on the path to rebuilding, as scores of bloody, beaten bodies are buried in mass graves, and bulldozers push rubble out of the path of major roads. It's been many weeks since Tashkent hasn't heard the sound of jets overhead, or automatic gunfire, and it won't be hearing any more for a long time... they hope...

                        IN AFGHANISTAN...
With the victory to the north in Uzbekistan, Iraniaqi tanks slice south around Chinese Tajikstan into Afghanistan. A spearhead invades the towns of Kholm and Mazar-e, and quick victory is won over the militant groups with their AK-47s and burp guns. More tanks spill in from the north, and both groups of Iraniaqi armor in Afghanistan hope to link up in two-to-three weeks.
In the south, tank columns force their way into Kandahar, and start the wholesale slaughter of the enemy. Soviet sattelite imagry suggests that the Afghan capital of Kabul is building huge fortifications in the nearby mountains, and garrisoning them well. It seems to be another Tashkent in the making, but this one would be harder, as the terrain is more against them than ever. Although eventual victory seems assured, it is untold how many lives will be lost this time. But to Iraniaq's military commanders, it really doesn't matter...

                        _____________
The newly-discovered oil in Turkmenistan will be exploited fully as soon as the refineries being built there are completed in about a month. This will be an invaluable trade commodity for the modernization of the Iraniaqi military, as well as a means of aquiring money to do the same. Either way, Iraniaq looks to be economically sound for years to come, as more oil is destined to be buried under the vast wastes of Central Asia...

IN a world of uber-nations, teh small corner of SE Asia stood frightened, and alone.

Five nations, whose paths had once led far different ways, were forced to combine out of fear of their larger neighbors which surrounded them on all sides.

Now Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Burma have combined to form the South Asian Kingdom, under the leadership of the King of Thailand (largest contibuting member), His Majesty Phumiphon Adunyadet (His Majesty for short), and the premier of Thailand, Chuan Likphai.

The new government is a constitutional monarchy, where the king and his cabinet are the executive branch, and the legislative branch consists of a parliament of two houses: The Senate (upper house), with 100 members, and the Commons, with 400 members.

The capital of this new entity is Bangkok...
