I just got this off a reputable European newswire.

LIMOGES, France- A running battle with Spanish rebels finished up today, with the surrender of their leader Gen. Estupido. His troops' rifles, ammunition, clothing, etc. are already being taken by supply trains back to the foundries of Seville to be melted down.

"Estupido is a capable tactician, but a complete coward," commented General Huangdi, provisionary leader of Spain after the deposing of ineffective President Frozzy. "He grew tired of waiting in Spain "doing nothing, and rebelled on his own to plunder the lands of Auvernge. But I knew that, given his arrogance, should he be defeated in battle he'd just give up rather than be able to run away. With the cooperation of the French, I knew we could hit him where it hurt."

President SnowFire of France seemed similarly happy. "Well, Spanish internal affairs aren't really our business, but Estupido really should have renewed his visa before visiting here. We like tourists and all, but we had to suspend his travelling priveleges last time he came and almost took Bourdeax. Gen. Huangdi handled the military side of this, so we're always happy to help out. I hear he's come up with some awesome new stealth technology for his armies, too."
