Japan fortifies and begins complex defense construction on all islands, especially nearer the west. The sub fleets ordered to gaurd all islands from US attacks. Japanese air forces mobilized on all islands.

Date: July 1944

North Afirca

Since the Axis powers focusing all their forces on the Soviet Union have lost a scifigant chunk of their land in North Afirca from a two front attack from US and British forces and a huge presense of US and British naval forces. The remain troops have been cut off from their main supply lines, and if the troops are not reinforced and resupplyed soon the Axis will lose their hold on North Afirca for good.

Eastern Front
The Germans have gotten mixed success on this front. Since the major push was towards the Caucusus oil fields they have gotten closer to their goal of taking this region. But futher North the Russians have pushed the Germans futher back. The Russians have have started to bombard the coast of the Black Sea with their ships in the regions.

THe Germans only hope to acheive their objectives if they are able to send more forces to push back the massive Russian force, and put into mass production the King tank the Germans may well defeat the Russians once and for all.

Pacfic Theater
Japan launched an attack on Russia on its Eastern Front, and due to the fact the Russia is putting all they got on the German Front, Japan has gotten a beach head on Russian soil and are now preparing for a massive assault. Also Chinese forces continue to be quiet and not launch any major offensives into Japanese held China.

Also Japanese Sub Carriers have been able to sink a destroyer in the Cannal, workers are now working around the clock to remove the ship and reopen the Cannal as fast as they can. This has angered many countries in Central and South America as well, and has started talk of entering the war on the side of the United States.

U.S. forces launch a massive assualt on the Phillipines Islands. A naval bombardment of the costal forts began the attack as well as air attacks from fighter bombers. Marines have also landed and have gotten a beach head on the Island and have begun to attack Japanese postions on the island.

Axis pride sweeps the streets of Italy. With reports coming in of the USSR's and Mexico's entering the war, thousands of enthusiastic Italians hold rally's and join the military. Morale among Italian troops in general are the highest they've ever been. There is a growing consensus among Italians that this war will be won. Won by the Axis Powers.
