Not government operated ones, no, but you are free to attempt to purchase some from private owners. They will be reluctant to sell for anything less than a fair sum, but if you are willing to pay, go right ahead.

To Britain: We would not presume to offer anything less than a fair price for the mines, so that should not be a problem.

Several German banks have set up office in Brazil, and are directing large amounts of money into various mining operations. This should provide a boost of 0.5 years to the German economy upgrade, and move the Brzilian economy up to plain 'Growing'.

Near the border, a wave of anti-Brazilian pogroms have occured. Throughout northern Brazil, there is a call for "un pais de espanol puro" (a country of pure Spanish, in other words a country where no one speaks portuguese).

Argentinian civil war:
The colors on the map are the 11 main factions. The white is areas that are controlled by minor factions or are highly contested. A few factions of note:
Light purple: The navy
Light blue: BOlivian liberation movement
Maroon: Paraguayan liberation movement.
Red and turquoise: Socialist factions.

TO Allies(secret):
To Italy we must go on the advance now. The only way to make peace is if we take the war to them. They will never give in when we are in a stalemate as we are now. We must attack. Our troops are ready. Our navy willl soon be ready. We must attack of lose the war.

To United States(secret):
WE will be sending more tanks, artillery, and ships soon. Once our forces have been assembled we will attack once again. We susgest that you engage in massive ship building projects.

Austrian Moves and Projects:
Army Huge(going to Imperial in 1 years time due to draft. More tanks, artilllery and troops are on their way to USA for new offensive)
Navy Huge(Damaged ships being repaired and lost ships being replaced to get back to Huge and then to Imperial. Already replacement ships are steaming

Austrian Navy has once again started sub warfare, joining US subs in region. THey are going after merchant ships and other targets that are easy to pick off. Massive numbers of subs have been realeased to attack.
