Dip 55 Hagakure Diplomacy Autumn 1575 Results
THOUGHT FOR THE PHASE:
"Learning such things as military tactics is useless. If one does not strike out by simply closing his eyes and rushing into the enemy, even if it is only one step, he will be of no use."

POWER RANKINGS
1) Shimazu: Still leading this three-horse race by a nose, with a solid strategic position pinned by a strong naval presence on both sides of Honshu. The alliance with Chosokabe seems to be deepening, and close cooperation could prove crucial as the game develops. The main risk lies in a close allied effort from Uesugi and Hojo.
2) Uesugi: Strong in the north and polishing off the last of Asakura resistance, Uesugi must be careful of the growing Shimazu threat. There can be no draws, so decisive action may be the only option. The ongoing alliance with Hojo is holding and it looks as if trust in each other is growing.
3) Hojo: Although trying to finish off Oda, Hojo must be careful not to let the initiative fall to Shimazu and Chosokabe. Naval power will be absolutely vital to further progress, and it looks like control of the Kanto Sea will be the lynch-pin of the conflict.
4) Chosokabe: Securely under the wing of Shimazu, Chosokabe's best chance lies in furthering this alliance and picking up any scraps that fall from the table. How he approaches the crumbling central powers could be crucial too - does he attack and pick up what he can before they die or support them to prevent gains for Uesugi and Hojo?
5) Oda: There is still a chance of survival for Oda, but this depends on an escalation of conflict between Shimazu and Hojo. Choosing a side and sticking to it may be the best option. On the whole, the future does not look good though - elimination is very close, with potential enemies all round waiting to pounce.
6) Asakura: Short of divine intervention of the kill-all-other-players kind, Asakura's days are numbered. It's only a matter of time, I'm afraid.
