Dip 53: African Diplomacy Spring 2005 Results

Well, it looks like nothing can go wrong for the Ivory Coast, with every one of his moves paying off this season. The green wave is washing over the continent and neither South Africa nor Saudi Arabia's efforts have had much effect. Saudi has taken the brunt of the attack in the past few seasons and the battle looks set to continue. Further south, Saudi is having more luck, and the capture of Somalia could prove decisive in the war with Ethiopia. The Ethiopians also made some headway this turn, however, moving in on the two remaining Zairean SCs. Zaire has its back well and truly against the wall, but managed to hold its own for another turn. A quiet trun for South Africa, but it did allow a consolidation of territory previously lost to Zaire. The great naval battle waging for the past few turns over the Gulf of Congo was finally lost to the Ivorians, however, and it could be a struggle to win it back.

Two retreats due this turn, and I would like them in within 24 hours - post in this thread. I have moved Saudi A-Esd to Cha, but please confirm this on this thread - you can retreat OTB or to Egy if you like....... Likewise, Ethiopia F-Som has been moves to Ken for now, but it could go to NIO or OTB if you want.

Autumn 2005 moves will be due on Thursday 28 June at 1159 GMT.

Orange1, technically, Saudi Arabia could retreat A Eastern Sahara Desert to Egypt, correct?

As much as the High Generals enjoyed the women and beer in Chad we must strategically retreat to Egy to protect our Pyramids from the mongrols of the Ivory coast
