You will notice that the Italian supports for Ven were not stated correctly. Mobius, you have to state whether you support a unit´s move or a unit holding. But since this is a nwebie game, and I handled similiar cases very graciously (yes yes, Siro!) I decided to let the order stand. It is absolutely obvious and unmistakable what Mobius intended, so a pure formality should not destroy his game.

    DEADLINES:
Fall moves are due next sunday, 6 pm eastern.
And before you start screaming again, dear Siro, I will probably not do the adjucation before monday evening!

I'm not screaming. who's screaming? DID YOU SEE ME SCREAMING? WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!!! I AM NOT GOING TO RAISE MY VOICE!!! .....

    ehm, yes.
I know you are great and wise and we don't really deserve your niceness. I'm just trying to deny it.

Actually, I beg to differ. When you write a support order, you don't have to state what the unit you're supporting will be holding or moving. This is especially useful when you're supporting a foreign unit. These are how support orders are adjudicated:

      A Ven S A Tyr
(GM will assume that A Tyr will hold or support another unit. If A Tyr moves, then the support is void.)

      A Ven S A Tyr H
(GM will assume A Tyr H. If A Tyr instead orders a support, the Venetian support stands. If A Tyr attempts to move, the support is void.)

      A Ven S A Tyr-Pie
(If Tyr holds, the support is void.)

So, basically, there's no difference between "A Ven S A Tyr" or "A Ven S A Tyr H" but if A Tyr makes an unexpected move, the support is void, no matter what.

Ahh, yes, maybe we misunderstood, LS. I should have pointed out better what I mean:

Mobius wanted Tyr to support Ven-Tri
He only ordered Tyr S Ven

Now, as you stated correctly, that would usually be a support for a holding or supporting unit. Not for a moving unit.

I accepted the order nontheless since this game is about learning, not being frustrated. It´s a newbie game. I had acepted other orders before that were not entirely correct, as long as they were unmistakeble. Wich is save to assume in this case here. I will however not accept the same mistake twice (a lesson poor Siro had to learn)

BTW, if you send your moves early and mark them "final", I will adjucate early. I could so the resolution Friday, if I had all the moves. So hurry!

Thanks Sahib - I'll be more careful next time...

Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?
