OOC: I'm not an expert on Star Trek...so tell me how this goes...and I'm sorry I couldn't write more

    IC:

    The Order
    3 Nebula Class (Federation)
    1 D'Deridex Class (Romulan)
    6 D'Dredar Class (Romulan)
    3 Galor Class (Cardassian)
    7 K'vort Class (Klingon)
    1 Vor'cha Class (Klingon)
    Assorted other fighters

...It had been years since the last war...Peace apparently reigned in the Alpha Quadrant. But there were some in the quadrant who did not want peace. They were natural warriors of the Old Order...and order as old as the galaxy itself...shrouded in secrecy it is the Order of War. Many times have they revolted against the governments of the galaxy, but all have failed. Now they join together, to unite, for the first time in history, the Order of War has been united in the galaxy. They come from all species. The Old Order was a race long before form was united in the galaxy, before the definite could be established. They were all, they were none. They lived in many places in the Alpha Quadrant, but when order came to the galaxy, their homeworlds split and formed many different worlds. Life sprouted on these worlds, and some of the life was directly decended by those from the Old Order. These people formed their clans, their own clans, and was left alone for a time. But then soon other peoples became more powerful and the Old Order was scattered in their worlds. That was then...now the Order has found each other again...a special link between them all...not known to any...but there...

They have found each other. They all come from different walks of life, different species, but they all have a bond, a calling, and they have found each other and made their own clans.

From the Klingdon Empire, the G'nar Family, a long-line of honorable warriors, petitioned the Council for their own fleet and an autonomous mission...severing ties from the Empire indefinitely. The Council, long trusting of the G'nar, agreed, and has given them a fleet of warships and wished them well. High General Va'chak commands the fleet of 8 vessels as well as 7 cloaking devices.

From the Federation, the Thompson family...warriors of the European continent. Fighting for the British empire while others fought for American and Canada and other European nation-states. That was a long time ago. Now, they have an admiral in Starfleet. Admiral Jonathan Thompson, a distinguished man. He rounded up all his clan and asked Starfleet for command of a Nebula-class starship fleet. His family could crew two vessels. The third was from a Vulcan clan, the V'cha. Admiral Thompson commands the fleet.

From the Romulan Empire...two families from ages ago...They have now formed into their own lobby in the empire. The Y'chu and the Gh'nu clans have been granted access to a fleet of 7 vessels for their own autonomous patrols. The patriarch of the Y'chu, one Galius Romai, commands the fleet.

From the Cardassians, the Order of Boran, an old family in the empire. A family with little power, but great skill, manipulative skill. They manipulated the shipyards on Cardassia for 3 new vessels. The patriarch of the Boran, Gildron, leads this fleet.

The commanders were all driven to do this by some force, some unknown, and instinctively moved all their forces into one location, the same location, in the Neutral Zone. There, Va'chak gave his new allies, the Federation and Cardassian ships, cloaking devices...somehow he knew how many to get and why...but he had another one...not knowing why...they would keep it in storage.

That was 5 years ago...since then, the fleet has been moving around, their instincts weakening...working as a mercenary until the Old Order sends them new instructions. They go under cloak around the galaxy...never knowing...They are...The Order

Mao, a couple small details on the Star Trek Universe. First, Klingon families own their own ships. Its confusing, but that's how they manage things in the Empire. Second, A Starfleet Admiral can just send ships, and most likely, something more powerful then 3 Nebula-class starships.

And, for something totally unrelated to Star Trek, you made a double post.

OOC: OK, so the Klingon thing is easy, Va'chak and his family leads their own ships. For the Federation it's a bit harder...how about Thompson lobbied the Federation Council and used his influence in Starfleet to get him command of a ship. And to make it more realistic, throw in a Galaxy Class for the Federation and make that Thompson's flagship. This means I don't have an extra cloaking device anymore. Is that OK?

Damnit Floyd! Where is the map? I cannot invade people and act, well, Romulan until I have a map.

          IC:
The Senate has passed, and the Continuing Committee approved, a new measure ordering the expansion of shipyards throughout the Romulan Star Empire. Included in the measure was a provision ordering that all of the older D'Deridex class warbirds be upgraded to be newer D'Deridex Advanced class warbirds. The upgrades will include new warp coils and impulse drive systems, along with quantum torpedo launchers, improved disruptors, a Mark 4.2 cloaking device, and a more efficient singularity power source. These upgrades will be completed over the next year and a half.

To Arms! To Arms! The cry ran throughout the Klingon Empire. Long range scanners have detected a borg cube headed strait for Qo'Nos. On the vid screen in the capital the image of Haw'Tu appeared to address the populas.
" My fellow warriors, At this time the dishonerable Baq'tu Borg are on their way to attack the Klingon Empire. This is our ultimate test. I expect every true Klingon to fight to the bitter end against this menace. Prepare your children for honarable death for none of us will be taken alive! Today we must even embrace bitter enemys as friends as the Romulan Star Empire, as well as the Maquis have sent aid. I myself will lead the first conquest fleet into battle followed by the 3 top admirls of the empire Turaq, Manda and Dec'ku all of honorable houses. All spaceworthy ships are ordered to join in the attack and if needed cloacking, weapons, and shielding will be provided. I expect that we shall be victorious, but if not, we shall all die well"

***Message to maquis and romulan empire***
Fellow warriors. We thank you for you aid, you have behaved honorably in this instance. However that does not make up for you conduct in the past. Prehaps it is time for a change in our relationship, and if we work well together the past shall be forgiven. We have decided that to take full advantage of our cloacking ability that we shall fight the borg in a Yehal'qa class nebula in which all shields borg and our forces alike our useless. The Maquis shall have the honor of luring the borg into the Nebula. We have full confidence that once they have been attacked by that sizeable fleet they will engage them in a attempt to assimalate them. that is if they behave as they have in the past. Once with in the nebula the borgs senors will be obscured and the Maquis will fall back. We have set up sensor relays that will allow our fleets to function normally Then the combined Klingon Romulan warfleet shall decloak and deliver a devestating blow to the cube. Then the Maquis shall return and finish off the cube. Glory and honor to our allied forces!

A priority one message is sent directly to Qo'nos an Haw'tu, the High Chancellor (I assume he is right?)

                -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Greetings from the House of Va'chak my old friend. We have long been friends and warriors in battle, and you have done me a great honor by allowing me to run with my family's fleet to guard the Empire. Now, I have returned, and I will once again stand with you in battle. We know of a Borg cube heading for Qo'nos. My friends are many now, and we have a great number of fighters which we can easily contribute to the cause of the empire. My friend, please accept this as repayment of allowing me to guard without eyes from Council.

All was normal in the Bajor system. Deep Space Nine was sitting serenely by the lip of the wormhole when it happened. The wormhole opened and a Jem'Hadar attack ship appeared. The Federation/Bajoran crew scrambeled to try and communciate with the Dominion ship, however to no avail. The Jem'Hadar attack ship sensing shields opened fire on the station. Deep Sapce Nine returned fire and after a brief firefight the attack ship retreated into the wormhole. For now no more Dominion ships have been sighted but more are expected.

                    To Federation: Who are you?

                        Several weeks ago...

"General Var'chak to Admiral Thompson, are you ready?" came from Var'chak's battlecruiser.

"This is Thompson, position Alpha 9 is ready. Are the Cardassians ready?"

One of Var'chak's men turned and nodded to his General. "Yes, the Galor-class vessels have taken up jaming positions"

Thompson's face was lit up with a smile, "Excellent General, now we wait."

The five vessels waited, 2 Nebula class and 3 birds-of-prey. The larger ships were in the background in lay for extra support. This, while 4 Galor class Cardassian ships lie in wait, forming a cloaked ring.

Then, what they had waited for had come. Half a dozen freighters had moved into the Nebula the fleet was lurking in, escorted by a Goront class war cruiser and 2 D'Kora class Marauders. The fleet lay in wait until just the right time. Admiral Thompson's eyes widened at the sight of the ships, easy pray for The Order.

Once the Ferengi convoy had fully entered the nebula, General Vor'chak got very anxious. Then came the signal, a silent signal sent to the Order's fleet. All vessels decloaked. Five ships decloaked next to the convoy while the other ships decloaked around the nebula, as lookouts. The 2 Nebula class vessels immediately pounced on the Goront-class vessel, hitting its weapons array before it could put its shields up. Phaser fire illuminated the nebula as the Marauder's were taken by surprise, but had their shields up in time before the birds of prey could fire their torpedoes. The Ferengi Marauders started firing at the Nebula-class vessels, but to little avail, their missiles were fired at mostly space, scoring only minimal damage. With the Goront-class weapons disabled, they were only sitting ducks, but the fleet did not fire on them. Rather, they concentrated on the Marauder-class vessels, destroying one and heavily damaging another. This left the convoy undefended. Then Vor'chak sent a message to all the ships of the convoy, including the escorts: "Greetings, I am General Vor'chak of the Order. Your ships are defenseless, do not attempt to contact other vessels for aid as nothing will get through this nebula. Now I offer an ultimatum: Turn over your freighters and vessels to us and you be set free. Refuse and we will destroy you."

The Ferengi, being the greedy things they are, eagerly accepted this deal which allowed them to live. Boarding parties then went into the freighters, revealing that they were holding a substanial amount of gold-pressed latinum and tritanium. This cargo was then beamed aboard the fleet. The Goront-class war cruiser was taken under tow, its crew sent to one of the freighters, and repair teams started working on it. The D'Kora class Marauder was beyond repair, and so was stripped of anything valuable, weapons systems, money, and other such things. The freighters were then sent out of the nebula.

After collecting their new money, the fleet went back into cloak, and then they heard of a Borg incursion. Vor'chak, always being a man of honor, had to go to the aid of the Empire. And the rest of the fleet would not abandon their blood-brother...

                          Deep Space Nine:
"I've got to hand it to you, Quark! This is a nice place you've got here!" squeaked the shrill voice of Daemon Vreetar, "I bet it turns you a tidy profit too!"

The Ferengi barkeep was apparently unsettled by his guest, and replied only, "You might say that. What can I get you?"

"I'll take a Romulan ale, Quark," Vreetar squeaked.

While the Ferengi drank his ale, a pair of eyes watched him from the darkness.

Those eyes belonged to Major Navok, one of the best field agents in the Tal Shiar. Navok watched as the Ferengi drank down his Romulan ale while joking with the bartender, then paid and proceeded to leave the bar for his ship.

Navok smoothly left his table next to the door and intercepted the Ferengi Daemon. Navok spoke with the voice of a naive and hesitant Vulcan, "Are you Daemon Vreetar?"

The Ferengi, taken by surprise by the Vulcan, began, "Yes, I am. Now, if you will excuse me, I must be off to my ship..."

Navok followed the intoxicated Ferengi as he headed out onto the Promenade and towards the turbolift to the docking ring. "I am an terribly sorry to interrupt, but I am trying to hire a few ships, and the waitress referred me to you."

The Ferengi, smelling profit, stopped in his tracks, "Hire ships, you say? Then I'm your man!" Under his breath the Ferengi muttered, "I will have to thank Quark's waitress." Vreetar spoke up again, "Well, what can I do you for, err, do for you?"

Navok continued, "My employers need me to get a contract for several ships, perhaps a twenty in all."

Vreetar responded, being drawn in at the size of the profit involved in such a venture, "Twenty ships, you say? That'll cost a lot of latinum, but I think it can be done."

Navok, acting gleeful at having found a successful arrangement for his employers, replied, "My employers will pay handsomely, if the ships can be provided soon; of course, they will have to be the right kind of ship..."

"What type of ship, exactly?" Vreetar asked.

"My employers need fast ships that are powerfully armed to quickly transfer small amounts of vital cargo on a daily basis," said Navok.

Vreetar, however, was already hooked. He would not have cared if Navok asked for Borg cubes or Galaxy class starships. He nodded eagerly, "I think I can arrange for as many as thirty Ngort raiders, those should suit your needs just fine."

"Excellent. My employers will be most pleased," Navok said, looking almost delighted (for a Vulcan) at having secured the deal, and after briefly haggling over the cost of the deal, he had secured it.

Vreetar scurried off to his ship to arrange for the ships, while Navok went to the comm terminal to arrange for his employers to transfer half of the payment in Latinum to Vreetar's accounts with the Bank of Bolius. The other half would be provided upon delivery.
